Lauren O’Neil is Chicago’s latest addition! You can hear her middays on 101WKQX and watch her on JBTV, America’s longest running music television show, along with host, Chicago music icon Jerry Bryant.

Originally from Palm Harbor FL, Lauren is a Tampa Bay native who started in radio in 2000 at Rock 104 WRUF in Gainesville under Harry Guscott. There, she worked through the ranks, had a weeknight on-air show, hosted a weekly local concert series, produced commercials, hosted and produced Locals Only (a weekly local band and concert feature.)

After 4 1/2 years at the station and graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in public relations and a minor in music, she landed her dream job in Tampa under Brian Medlin and Brad Hardin, more recently under James Howard and Mike Killabrew. She has extensive knowledge and experience in all facets of the business and was on the air for seven years with WXTB, the last four as co-host of the Kage Kult Show with Jesse Kage, afternoon drive on 98 Rock.

Lauren spent a year and a half on The Buckethead Show, mornings on 98 Rock, which was also broadcast afternoons on WJRR in Orlando under Rick Everett. Lauren has tracked middays at 104.1 The Rock of New Orleans under James Howard, middays/nights and weekends on Radio 1045 in Philadelphia under John Allers, and middays on 94.7 The Buzz in Oklahoma City under Tom Travis.

A beer and whisky drinking girl who loves going to concerts and truly emulates what the Rock genre is all about, Lauren is a Florida Gator who loves football and baseball, metal, her dog Simon, cooking and entertaining, driving fast and meeting all different kinds of people. She is an avid supporter of all branches of the military, first responders, and the Humane Society of Pinellas.

Lauren has a great work ethic; is well versed in all dayparts on-air, commercial production, voiceovers, traffic reports, hosting events, stage announcements, interviews, endorsements, emcee duties, remotes, appearances, podcasting, web responsibilities and has a background in television.
